  1. How to export Scope curve data into CSV format?


A: The method is shown in the following figure: Click on "Export to CSV" under the Scope section.

  1. When using the Scope View component in TwinCAT version 3.1.4024, there is no Target Browser window.
    The phenomenon is shown in the following figure:


Solution:
Download the Full version of TF3300 separately and install the Target Browser plugin.


  • If the installation prompts failure, it indicates that the TwinCAT 3 software itself already has the Target Browser plugin integrated during installation, but an unknown error occurred, resulting in an incomplete software installation.



  • You can use the Cleanup tool to uninstall the Target Browser. After uninstalling, use the TF3300 installation package to reinstall the Target Browser.


  1. After selecting "Remember my answer and don't ask again." when saving a Scope project in TwinCAT 3, the file is automatically saved each time without the option to select a save path. How can this be restored?
    When recording data in a Scope View project and needing to save, users may utilize the Save Data function in the toolbar.


By default, a pop-up window will appear, prompting whether to save directly in the project path. By clicking "NO," one can customize the save path. Normally, the option below "Remember my answer and don't ask again." is also selected to preserve previous settings, but if the wrong option is clicked, the pop-up window will not appear again in the future.




Solution: Click on the Scope option in the toolbar, locate Scope Messages, and check the box for Append SVDX Message in the list on the right. After doing so, the pop-up window will reappear. Note: The checkbox area is the one outlined in the following image, not the text area on the right.


  1. When using the TwinCAT 3 XY Scope, an error message appears: 'TwinCAT Measurement' : 'Scope Project': Invalid configuration at XY-channel.

Error Cause:
Both the horizontal and vertical axes of an XY Scope Project need to be assigned as variables. It is a graph used to observe how two variables change relative to each other. If only one of the vertical or horizontal axes is bound to a variable, this error will occur.





Solution Measures:
Expand the Axis Group within the XY Chart and check whether both the X-axis and Y-axis are bound to variables. If there is an axis with an "Empty" prompt, you need to re-bind a variable to it.

Solution: In VisualStudio, you need to download and install the Report Design plugin as shown in the image below (the example image is for VS2019 interface):


Please note that after the download is complete, you need to close Visual Studio and restart it to proceed with the subsequent installation steps.

After completion, reopen the project and the report editing interface will display correctly.




  1. How to Use the 3D View in ScopeView
    After installing the latest version of ScopeView, when creating a new oscilloscope project, you can select the XYZ view as an option:


The basic usage is similar to that of the YT project. By adding variables for the XYZ three channels through the TargetBrowser, and clicking "start record," you can view a three-dimensional view of the trajectory.

Dragging the interface allows you to change the viewpoint.


  1. How to Use the "New Image" Option in ScopeView
    Note: The TF7000 version needs to be upgraded to version 4.0.2.13 or above.

  1. How to Modify the Major Tick Mark Size of the Y-Axis in TwinCAT Measurement?
    This can be achieved by modifying the Y-Grid parameter in the Axis Group properties.

  1. Using Triggers in TwinCAT 3 Scope View
    Triggers can specify conditions to trigger the acquisition tasks in ScopeView: Tags, Start Recording, Stop Recording, Stop Drawing, Redraw, Start Export Recording, and Stop Export.

Among them, Start Export Recording and Stop Export support up to 5 recordings, but their use requires the purchase and installation of a professional license.

Notes:

  1. The trigger conditions need to be added to the datapool beforehand.

  2. The trigger conditions need to be selected in "Use Data" and must meet the threshold value to be effective.

  3. It is recommended to use multiple trigger groups, for example, one set as Start Record and another as Stop Record. If multiple trigger sets are added to the same trigger group, the AND and OR options in "Combine" will affect their priority, and using AND may cause some trigger sets to not work.
