The IP addresses of these two devices are 169.254.1.1 and 169.254.1.100 respectively.
The setup steps are as follows
- Open the Firewall option in the Control Panel and click on "Advanced settings":
- Click "Inbound Rules" in the upper left corner, and then click "New Rule" in the rightmost options bar.
- Select "Custom" for the custom rule and click "Next"
- Select "All programs" and click "Next"
- Select "Any" for the protocol and port (default settings), and click "Next"
- Set the remote IP address for the new rule to allow communication, select "These IP addresses," and click "Add."
- After adding the IP address, click "Next"
- Select "Allow the connection" and click "Next"
- Check all three options: "Domain," "private," and "public," and click "Next."
- Name the newly added rule and click "Finish."
- After adding, you can see the rule in the "Inbound Rules" section, and it will be in an enabled state.
With the above settings, the controller can be remotely accessed at IP address 169.254.1.1 without shutting down the firewall.
For the configuration of another controller:
Apply the same firewall configuration method on the other controller side, where the remote IP address for the new rule is changed to 169.254.1.100, while the other settings remain the same.
