Beckhoff TwinCAT FAQ - What is T_AmsNetID?

 

This parameter is a string containing six numbers similar to an IP address, such as "1.1.1.2.7.1". If it is an empty string, the local AmsNetID will be used by default













You can right-click the Beckhoff icon and click About to view the current local ID

















Modify the TC3 TwinCAT AMS NET address:
Right click the TwinCAT icon in the taskbar, select Router, Change AMS NetId, and then re-enter

















TC2 to modify TwinCAT AMS NET address:
Right-click the TwinCAT icon in the taskbar and select "Properties".
Fill in different AMS addresses in the "AMS Router" tab of the controller and computer, keeping the last two digits as".1.1". (If the AMS Net ID is 127.255.255.1.1.1, it must be modified, as this is the system default address and is likely to cause address conflicts)
